US 75 Feasibility Study, TxDOT Paris District

IEA Inc. served as the prime consultant for a feasibility study aimed at improving a 30-mile section of US 75 in Texas.

The objective of the study was to enhance safety, accessibility, and mobility in this corridor by gathering input and ensuring alignment with the community's needs and priorities.

Stakeholder Coordination

The IEA team worked closely with stakeholders, including local governments and transportation agencies, to identify potential improvement options. Factors such as funding limitations and right-of-way constraints were also taken into consideration.

Feasibility Study

The Feasibility Process involved determining the project's boundaries or limits - known as project termini. This step considered factors such as geographical scope, jurisdictional boundaries, and the specific highway section targeted for improvement.

Defining the project termini helped establish a clear scope and focus for the feasibility study. The first step was understanding TxDOT's available funding. We then developed a Master Plan Tool that incorporated an Evaluation Matrix, mobility and safety improvements with cost estimates, and noted funding categories for implementation into the UTP, STIP, and TIP.

The US 75 Feasibility Study resulted in 51 individual projects with associated costs for TxDOT Paris District to use as they programmed the future improvements of the corridor.
