Introducing our New Marketing Manager

IEA is excited to announce that Jerry Allison has joined the team as Marketing Manager. With a diverse background in journalism and marketing, Jerry’s passion for storytelling and strategic communication has driven her career. She brings over three years of industry experience in AEC marketing and has cultivated her expertise in developing proposals and managing marketing campaigns that effectively highlight a company’s strengths. Her innovative approach will be instrumental in elevating IEA’s marketing efforts and expanding the company’s market presence. 

A Versatile Career Path 

Jerry’s professional journey began in journalism, where she honed her storytelling skills as a sports editor. Her career pivoted to marketing during her time overseas, serving military organizations and spearheading campaigns for the 86FSS in Ramstein, Germany.  There, she successfully promoted and supported over 62 facilities, sparking her passion for creating impactful marketing strategies. 

After a fulfilling tenure in the Middle East with a non-profit, Jerry unexpectedly transitioned to AEC industry marketing. She quickly built a strong foundation in proposals, drawing on her background in journalism and design to find meaningful connections. 

The Vital Role of Proposals 

Proposals are a cornerstone of success for consulting firms like IEA. They serve as the primary means of showcasing expertise, experience, and vision to win new projects. Jerry’s work as Marketing Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that these proposals effectively communicate why IEA is the perfect choice for each job. 

“We create and write proposals not just to bid, but to show our clients how IEA’s expertise aligns with their goals,” Jerry explained. “It’s about telling a story that combines technical precision with a compelling narrative to demonstrate our value.” 

Jerry’s ability to balance technical accuracy with persuasive storytelling makes her well-suited to elevate the quality and impact of IEA’s proposals while supporting broader marketing initiatives. 

A Collaborative Vision for IEA 

Jerry’s expertise spans far beyond proposals. “Marketing in civil engineering is about much more than proposals—it’s about building relationships, telling a compelling story, and enhancing the overall brand,” she explained. 

Jerry’s approach to marketing emphasizes trust, creativity, and collaboration. “You must have trust in your team, and that will lead to fostering creativity and positivity,” she shared. She believes in the power of brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas and strengthen team dynamics. 

Proud Achievements and Exciting Opportunities 

Among Jerry’s proudest career accomplishments is helping to open the first Department of Defense P.F. Chang’s restaurant in 2018. This unique experience deepened her understanding of corporate branding, marketing, and creative problem-solving—skills she now brings to IEA. 

“I’m passionate about learning and growing, and IEA’s commitment to innovation and infrastructure aligns perfectly with my goals,” said Jerry. “I’m excited to contribute to a range of marketing initiatives, from proposals to branding and everything in between, that help us connect with clients and make a lasting impact.” 

Beyond Marketing 

Outside the office, Jerry has recently been spending her free time with her new rescue puppy, Lucy, a lab mix, who has quickly brought joy and excitement to her life. “My goal is to have her as my running buddy, but right now, it’s getting her acclimated,” Jerry shared. 

When she’s not with Lucy, Jerry enjoys discovering hidden gem coffee shops and restaurants that remind her of her travels. This passion for discovery reflects her well-rounded approach to life and work, blending creativity, exploration, and a commitment to finding inspiration in unexpected places.
