Houston Office: Hurricane Relief
After Hurricane Berly hit, our Houston team responded swiftly. On July 17, 2024, volunteers joined local relief efforts, distributing supplies and assisting communities in need.
Houston Administrative Assistant Alexandria Foster felt deeply connected to the mission. “Helping during a crisis like this feels meaningful. You’re there for people when they need support most,” she said.
The experience stayed with her. “Seeing the gratitude on people’s faces reminds you of the power of community. Efforts like these build resilience and foster hope.”
Houston Office: Bright Future Fair
On August 2, 2024, Houston volunteers also joined the Bright Future Fair, a youth-focused event providing mentorship and resources.
Alexandria reflected on the importance of this event. “Helping young people access tools for success is incredibly rewarding. Volunteering here reminded me how small actions can shape brighter futures.”
Her advice? “Jump in! You’ll gain so much from connecting with others and seeing the difference you can make.”
Fort Worth Office: Blood Drive
In Fort Worth, employees donated blood on July 22, 2024, helping hospitals and emergency services save lives.
Kyle Maloch explained his personal motivation. “As an O-negative donor, I know how critical these donations are. My father and I make it a priority to donate regularly.”
Kyle emphasized the value of participation. “You might save a life—perhaps even your own. Blood donation is one of the most direct ways to make a positive impact.”
Austin Office: Texas Food Bank
On July 28, 2024, our Austin employees volunteered at the Central Texas Food Bank. Together, they prepared meals for after-school programs, addressing food insecurity for local children.
Sadie Parker, a Roadway EIT, reflected on the experience. “Knowing how many meals we made was incredibly fulfilling. Volunteering as a team made it even more special.”
Marketing Coordinator Lena Lee praised the Food Bank’s approach. “CTFB creates impactful, well-organized experiences. They ensure volunteers understand the difference they’re making.”
Lena highlighted the importance of community care. “We all face challenges, and stepping up for others is what being part of a community is about.”
