Taxiway LIMA, DFW International Airport

IEA was Design Manager for this $41.7M, 2-phase project that served to reconstruct and expand DFW's (Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport) Taxiway LIMA.

Phase 1: IEA managed and coordinated five separate consulting firms and airport staff to produce the design of the reconstruction and expansion of 2,170 LF of the concrete taxiway and associated cross taxiways for compliance with ADG VI standards and TDG standards. The work included reconstruction and expansion of asphalt shoulder; installation of a pavement underdrain system; pavement markings; electrical lighting infrastructure; and Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting fixtures and signs.

Phase 2: IEA's design reconstructed and expanded 6,970 LF of concrete taxiway in compliance with ADG VI standards and TDG 7 standards. The project included the connecting taxiways between Taxiway L and Taxiway K to that taxiway's object-free area and the connecting taxiways between Taxiway L and Runway 17R-35L to the runway's safety area.
