IEA INC. PROVIDED DESIGN FOR 14 WATER AND WASTEWATER PIPELINE SEGMENTS FOR DALLAS WATER UTILITY FY2016 AND FY2018 PIPELINE DESIGN PROJECTS.

IEA was a Sub-consultant on multiple teams, providing quality, sustainable design for 12,210 LF of 4” to 8” water pipe replacement and 12,360 LF of 8” wastewater pipe replacement.

DWU FY2018 Pipeline Design (Contract No. 18-283/284E)

• 2 Pipeline segments (PIDs) in various locations - 3,560 LF of 8” water pipe replacement and approximately 4,230 LF of 8” wastewater pipe replacement.
• Segment replacement of water and wastewater lines in residential and commercial areas and major arterial roadways.
• Conventional open-cut construction and trenchless construction methods.

DWU FY2016 Pipeline Design (Contract No. 16-351/352E)

• 5 PIDs in various locations - 4,400 LF of 4” to 8” water pipeline replacement and approximately 1,950 LF of 8” wastewater pipe replacement.
• Segment replacement of water and wastewater lines in residential and commercial areas and major arterial roadways.
• Conventional open-cut construction and trenchless construction methods.

DWU FY2016 Pipeline Design (Contract No. 16-353/354E)

• 2 PIDs – 2,600 LF of 8” water pipe replacement and approximately 3,880 LF of 8” wastewater pipe replacement.
• Segment replacement of water and wastewater lines located in residential areas.

DWU FY2016 Pipeline Design (Contract No. 16-355/356E)

• 5 PIDs in various locations - 1,650 LF of 8” water pipe replacement and approximately 2,300 LF of 8” wastewater pipe replacement.
• Segment replacement of water and wastewater lines in residential areas and major arterial roadways.

Quality and Sustainability: To do this, IEA analyzed and balanced all factors to determine the ideal main alignment with the prime and City of Dallas. We evaluated construction methods (open cut vs. trenchless), pipe materials, slopes, waste reduction/water saving strategies, and strategies to minimize disruption.
