Greenbriar Estates Water and Wastewater Improvements
City of Duncanville, TX

IEA designed water and wastewater mains in 4 locations within the Greenbriar Estates neighborhood.

The scope included the delivery of 4 contract document packages for each of the 4 project phases to coincide with the City’s available funding schedule.

Water:

IEA is designing 10,600 LF of 8-inch water line installed by open cut construction methods. IEA was able to maintain local access to local traffic, regular garbage and recycling services to residents, and street access to emergency vehicles during construction.

Wastewater:

IEA is designing the replacement or rehabilitation of 8,500 LF of 8, 15 and 18-inch pipelines. The bulk of these pipelines are being rehabilitated by using the trenchless method of pipe bursting. Using trenchless rehabilitation methods has saved money by minimizing the amount of pavement repair needed to construct these wastewater mains and allowing streets to remain open.

Currently, the 1st phase of this project is complete with the 2nd phase currently in construction. The 3rd and 4th project phases are at 95% design and awaiting the availability of construction funds from the City prior to finalizing contract documents.
