IEA designed upgrades to 3 signals from loop detection to Radar Detection Devices (Presence and Advance Detection). Designed location and type of detection devices and associated conduits/conductors to retrofit to existing signal equipment.

IEA was responsible for the design of the proposed Traffic Signal Layout and various signal elements on Camp Bowie Blvd for 2 existing signal locations, incorporating ADAAG guidelines. Proposed signal plan layout showed pole locations, signal phasing diagram, pole details, and conduit charts. Pedestrian poles with pushbuttons were critically located, as needed, to enable easy activation and convenience of operation. Existing utility locations in the vicinity were identified for power considerations and to avoid potential conflict with proposed signal and ADA elements.
