IEA Inc. currently has an opening for a Senior Scheduler to join our team in Dallas, Texas.
The Senior Scheduler supports delivery of major transportation projects. This individual will be responsible for developing construction contract time schedules, reviewing contractor prepared schedules for compliance, analyzing schedules and delay issues, performing time impact analyses, and providing dispute mitigation/claim defense support to clients. This individual will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed safely, on-time, and within budget.
Job Requirements
- Ensuring schedule compliance with relevant contract requirements.
- Tracking and reporting overall project progress and critical path activities.
- Validate and report on time impacts, scope change impacts, and delays to enable early identification of risks, driving transparency and predictability.
- Develop interfaces between schedulers, cost, and risk management teams to inform accurate spend forecasting, risk identification, and cost loadings.
- Identifying, measuring, and reporting the impacts of any changes on a project’s schedule, and providing other schedule analyses to support project decisions and resolve disputes or claims.
- Interacting directly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address scheduling issues.
- Preparing or reviewing technical analysis reports, presentations, and/or executive summaries.
- Assisting with quality control review for schedule deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field required.
- PSP certification and Texas PE license preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction scheduling, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project scheduling best practices, critical path method, and earned-value analysis required.
- Ability to assess risk and perform forensic delay analysis and time impact assessment in case of project delays and claims required.
Skills
- Expertise using Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Microsoft Project and related industry-leading scheduling software.
- Experienced in development/analysis of resource and cost loaded baseline and progress update schedules.

Sr. Project Manager/Lead Roadway Engineer (AUS)

IEA Inc. currently has an opening for a Senior Project Manager/Lead Roadway Engineer to join our Roadway Team in Austin, TX.
This individual will manage transportation design projects for clients such as TxDOT, cities, counties, and toll entities. A strong background in Texas roadway design engineering is required as well as understanding and having an ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines (including roadway drainage, structures, survey and others). Extensive knowledge of TxDOT Specifications and the TxDOT Roadway Design Manual are strongly preferred.
The candidate will lead a team of 2 to 6 professionals in a fast-paced engineering environment where projects may be derived from many delivery methods including conventional publicly bid projects and design-build.
Job Requirements
- Lead a team to develop engineering documents that achieve our clients' goals and objectives while meeting schedule commitments and budget requirements.

These individuals will perform CADD related functions under the supervision of the Digital Delivery Director or other experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes.
This individual will receive training and mentorship to help prepare and design detailed construction drawings as well as related maps/exhibits used in planning and construction of civil engineering projects. The intern will work with a team of Professional Engineers and Engineers-In-Training to develop structure, roadway, drainage, and/or civil drawings from engineering notes, sketches, and/or detailed drawings.

This individual will perform civil design for single family land development projects. They may also work with others on other civil design assignments. Preferably, this person is familiar with Municipal Utility District creation and operation.
The primary duties of the Project Engineer are to be responsible for engineering design using AutoCAD Civil3D, and preparation of engineering calculations, engineering reports, and construction documents with occasional assistance from other Designers, Project Engineers, EITs, and Project Managers. Work may also entail field investigations and inspections. This position has a high growth potential based on performance.

This individual will perform structural design tasks for projects related to highway, roadway, rail, and light rail projects including but limited to bridge design/repairs, retaining wall design, culvert design, and crash wall design. This individual will be working under the supervision of a Project Manager and/or Task Leader, or as Task lead. The individual will be expected to manage others such as Engineer-in-Training or CADD operators. They may also work with others on civil design assignments as well. Preferably, this person is familiar with the TxDOT Specifications and TxDOT Bridge Design Manual.
The primary duties of the Project Engineer are to produce engineering designs, drawings specifications, and estimates using engineering software with occasional assistance from other Project Engineers and Project Managers. Individuals will also be expected to perform Quality Control (QC) on design aspects and assist in marketing activities as needed. Work may also entail field investigations and inspections.
